New standards in environment-friendly technology

AIC capacitors are designed from the very outset for long-life operations and aim to be environmentally friendly and resource-saving throughout their entire life cycle.

Just as the high efficiency of our products contributes in particular to reducing energy consumption, their robustness and long lifetime make repeated replacement unnecessary over long periods of use. This ultimately reduces the amount of waste and the related environmental impact.

Failure rates of less than 0.3 FIT prove these quality features year after year.

However, this status quo or the ecological footprint of our production processes and logistical operations - even if these cannot be categorised as particularly environmentally harmful at first glance - is not enough for all of us.

Our manufacturers are continuing to research alternative materials and production processes at full speed, which offer a better environmental balance and performance and increase the recycling rate.

But not only our product manufacturers are looking for new potential for improvement. As a EU supplier, AIC Europe GmbH extensively monitors all environmentally harmful emissions that arise in connection with our business activities.

In the resulting measures to contain our most important environmental impacts, the main focus is on avoiding unnecessary emissions and reducing those that are not directly within our scope of influence or are inevitable.

In recent years, we have achieved

  • a degree of 70% autonomy through the installation of photovoltaic systems for our office and warehouse buildings.

  • an average reduction in district heating consumption of 22 % through the modernisation of our building infrastructure

  • an ambitious 50% reduction in our CO2 emissions associated with our imports from the Far East by improving our processes and efficient exchanging with production.

Year after year, we improve the CO2 footprint per capacitor. Join us on this journey.
